Games Localization Project Manager
Lionbridge Games Barcelona is currently seeking an experienced project manager for games localization projects.
The ideal candidate will oversee the smooth operation of assigned projects, ensuring high-quality output for a wide range of gaming customers.
1. Manage and organize games localization projects from start to finish: costing & quoting, scheduling, resource assignments, progress reporting, project analysis, post-production, Quality Assurance support, etc.
2. Act as client's daily point of contact, forging strong relationships, understanding the client's team dynamic, business goals, priorities, and challenges.
3. Overall financial ownership, gathering and reviewing financial reporting, managing customer complaints and KPI data.
4. Drive localization performance, financial growth, and innovation, bringing added value to the account.
5. Thorough understanding of company budgeting tools and processes.
6. Report to Operations / Production Management and Site Management on a regular basis.
7. Manage communication and successful relations with clients, internal and external stakeholders, and linguist resources.
8. Responsible for project kick offs and handoffs, debriefing teams for each project.
9. Define and continuously update project planning and prioritization, communicating with wider Lionbridge teams and internal/external production teams daily.
10. Report on production status and budget forecast.
11. Manage client quoting, invoicing, and vendor/freelancer PO-processes.
12. Assess, monitor, and ensure quality of multi-lingual projects and monitor KPIs.
13. Provide feedback and creative solutions for continuous improvement of processes, resource allocation, services, and client relationships.
14. Analyze and anticipate risk in the localization process, providing guidance to clients.
Experience, Skills & Requirements:
1. Demonstrated experience directly managing games localization projects.
2. Track record includes managing two or more shipped AAA video game localization projects, including Translation and Audio Recording (Voice Over) for Castilian Spanish specifically.
3. Castilian Spanish games translation (freelancing) experience and related translation/localization studies a plus.
4. Experience in managing multiple project types: in-game (multiple platforms), web/online content, marketing materials, legal content (EULAs), etc.
5. Translation CAT tool advanced technical proficiency.
6. Comfortable managing professional customer relations and communication.
7. Self-starter with problem-solving skills, used to working independently as well as in a team.
8. Flexible team player with the ability to multi-task, negotiate, and make decisions with the team and project outcome in mind.
9. Detail oriented and highly organized, accustomed to prioritizing and handling multiple games localization projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills and expertise in written and verbal communication.
11. Ability to work effectively and decisively under pressure within prior set deadlines.
12. Experience working with internal as well as remote worldwide teams in various time zones.
13. Fluent written and verbal Spanish and English skills; knowledge of an additional language a plus.
14. Experience working with Windows applications: MS Office, MS Outlook, Teams, etc.
15. A love for games and the games industry.
