ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Commissioning & Start‐Up (CSU) Manager to join the Corporate PMC team in our Bilbao, Madrid or Barcelona offices. The CSU Manager leads the planning, resourcing of project-specific professionals in the CSU management domain, and execution of pre‐commissioning, commissioning, start‐up, and performance testing to achieve safe, compliant, and right‐first‐time handover to Clients in the context of PMC professional services. ABOUT YOUApply if you...Have a Bachelor's degree Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Controls, Chemical) or related field.Have over 8-12 years in commissioning/start‐up on capital projects (energy, chemicals, utilities, data centers, pharma, infrastructure, etc.).Proven delivery in owner's team/PMC or EPC environmentsDemonstrated experience with system completion and turnover to Clients.Strong knowledge of pre‐commissioning, commissioning, and start‐up methodologies across disciplinesCompetence in P&IDs;, cause‐and‐effect matrices, control narratives, and interlock testing.Experience with completions management systemsFamiliarity with process safety, LOTO/energy isolation, and temporary systemsComfort with Power BI / dashboards and digital field tools for progress and punch management.Are a team player with technical excellence.Can work independently with a flair for innovation.Do have an advanced level of English.Above all, are attracted by a multinational company like IDOM.

• Systemization: establish and enforce commissioning standards, systemization structures, and readiness gate checks while maintaining the completions database and driving continuous improvement across the CSU function.Planning &

• Readiness: oversee the CSU execution strategy, resourcing, detailed schedules, preservation and energization plans, vendor mobilization, and all readiness requirements to ensure a fully prepared commissioning phase.System Completion &

• Turnover: ensure MC verification, punch‐list management, pre‐commissioning activities, energization and fluid introduction safety, functional/start‐up testing, performance testing, and full turnover dossier completion.HSE, Quality &

• Risk: champion process and personal safety during CSU, lead PSSRs, manage CSU risk registers and barrier health, and enforce quality standards for testing, calibration, and NCR resolution.Interfaces &

• Leadership: coordinate with construction, engineering, operations, contractors, and OEMs while validating competencies and ensuring effective leadership across all CSU‐related scopes.Controls, Reporting &

• Documentation: implement progress measurement for completions and punch KPIs, maintain the commissioning database, issue CSU reports, manage change impacts, and support claims prevention through robust documentation.Operational Handover &

• Stabilization: ensure operations readiness (procedures, training, spares, CMMS data), support start‐up stabilization, troubleshoot early‐operation issues, and capture lessons learned for corporate improvement.
