The Group Finance team, called "PBRC" (Planning, Budget, Results, Central), is based in Paris and Madrid.
This department analyzes, comments, and reports financial information for Group Management (CEO, CFO, Board) and external parties (shareholders, analysts, auditors, regulators).
Under the supervision of the Group CFO, PBRC owns major finance processes at Group level, overseeing IFRS and Solvency II actual accounts, forecasts, and the production of the annual report.
It also reassesses financial indicators, adjusts them as needed, and leads the "PBR" family within the Group. The Group Consolidation team within PBRC compiles and prepares the IFRS Financial Statements and Solvency II Pillar 3 reports quarterly, interacting with entities and supporting them on accounting and consolidation topics.
The team coordinates the production of Group financial statements and collaborates with various internal departments (Norms & Actuaries, Investor Relations, etc.) and external stakeholders (auditors, regulators). The team comprises junior and senior controllers based in Madrid, supervised by the Head of Consolidation.
General Mission:
The Financial Controller in Consolidation assists in controlling, analyzing, and delivering S2P3 regulatory reports, including review and control of quarterly and annual submissions and contribution to the Group’s Solvency II reports (RSR and SFCR).
With support from their manager, the Controller will:
* Understand IFRS and S2P3 accounting treatments, reporting, and disclosures, contributing to IFRS closing activities (scope of consolidation, intercompany transactions).
Responsibilities include:
* Defining Group timetable and instructions for correct application by entities.
* Preparing internal syntheses.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements.
* Managing audit trails and internal controls, liaising with auditors.
* Interacting with entities for support, ensuring understanding and proper application of instructions, and improving submission quality and timeliness.
* Contributing to team performance by maintaining tools and files.
* Supporting the Group Audit process with auditors.
Required Education:
* Degree in Audit & Accounting, Certified Accountant, Master’s, or Actuarial degree.
* Approximately 5 years of experience in insurance companies (consolidation, accounting, financial controlling) or as an auditor/consultant in insurance or financial services.
Additional skills:
* French language skills are a plus.
Technical Skills:
* Business analysis, accounting, and financial mechanisms knowledge.
* Desirable: IFRS, consolidation techniques, Solvency II principles, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SAP (Magnitude).
Soft Skills:
* Highly organized, proactive, structured.
* Ability to work internationally, adaptable to change, team player.
