Currently, we are looking for a Posdoctoral in Human Risk Assessment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Execution of experimental and theoretical tasks for the projects in which the group is involved.
Carrying out measurement campaigns to determine the emission/release of various materials, including emerging contaminants (e.g., nanomaterials, PFAs, etc.), in different scenarios using air measurement equipment and sampling devices.
Assessing workers' and consumers' exposure using exposure assessment models such as ART, Stoffenmanager, ConsExpo, among others.
Critically analyzing and interpreting experimental data/results, whether generated or extracted from other sources (models, databases).
Presentation of scientific results in different contexts, including project meetings, conferences and workshops.
Contributing to the writing of the technical section of funding proposals.
Collaborating in the organization of dissemination activities and the promotion of the group's activities.
What do we expect from you?
PhD in Science: Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
A Master's degree or courses in air monitoring, source apportionment, exposure assessment, and human and environmental risk assessment will be positively valued.
Experience in air measurements and exposure assessment of workers and consumers.
Experience in risk analysis of substances, nanomaterials, contaminants, or other related areas.
Knowledge of exposure/risk assessment tools and models for substances, materials, contaminants, among others.
Understanding of the "Safe and Sustainable by Design" concept, particularly about safety in material production and product use.
Experience in the implementation and technical coordination of projects.
Experience in drafting proposals for new projects, reports, or project justifications both in Spanish and English.
Experience in the analysis and interpretation of experimental results or data for various purposes.
Participation in technology transfer activities.
Experience working directly or indirectly with the industry.
You will excel in this position if you bring:

* Ability to communicate and present results in different forums (scientific, industrial, educational).
* Capacity to critically extract and analyze information from scientific literature.
* Ability to write technical-scientific reports in English.
* Basic user-level proficiency in tools such as Office and PowerPoint (essential).
* Experience with technical software (recommended).
Languages: Spanish and English. Catalan is a plus.
