As Artificial Intelligence Lead for Santander Insurance in Madrid, you will shape the AI agenda across insurance value chains and drive digital transformation. You will lead cross-functional teams to deploy GenAI and AI/ML solutions that improve underwriting, pricing, claims, and customer engagement while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery to create competitive advantage and sustainable growth. You will collaborate with the CDAIO and Insurance teams to scale AI across the business.

• Develop and execute an AI strategy aligned with insurance business objectives
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI and GenAI use cases across underwriting, pricing, claims, and customer service
• Design and deploy AI-powered solutions to improve combined ratio, customer experience, and scalability
• Lead cross-functional teams in AI solution design and integration
• Oversee development, validation, and monitoring of machine learning models
• Ensure regulatory compliance, model governance, data privacy, and ethical AI principles
• Drive AI research, prototyping, and PoC initiatives for insurance innovation
• Establish partnerships with tech vendors, insurtechs, and research institutions
• Promote AI literacy and change management across Insurance units
Responsabilidades
• GenAI and AI/ML experience in Insurance (required)
• 8+ years in AI/ML roles with applied problem solving
• 5+ years in Insurance or insurance technology
• Experience implementing AI/ML in underwriting, pricing, claims, fraud, or customer analytics
• Experience leading xpzdshu large-scale AI programs and cross-disciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of actuarial concepts, risk modeling, and insurance KPIs
• BSc in Computer Science or related field; MSc preferred
• AI/ML, cloud, or data science certifications preferred
• Fluent in English and Spanish
