Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia's busiest corridors.
With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments.
Construction is set to begin in late ****, with substantial completion anticipated in ****.ResponsibilitiesField Leadership: Support the Geomatics Department by executing field tasks efficiently and in compliance with company standards, contributing to project goals.Team Development: Mentor and train Geomatics Operator assistants in the proper use and maintenance of Geomatics equipment, fostering a culture of precision, safety, and continuous learning.Direct Supervision: Work closely under the guidance of the Geomatics Field Manager, ensuring alignment with project requirements and operational protocols.Technical Operations:Set up, operate, maintain, and calibrate Geomatics equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, digital levels, and Grade control systems.Perform layout tasks, stakeouts, and preliminary checks per project specifications.Quality Control: Upon task completion, communicate with the Geomatics Field Manager for verification of work, ensuring all work adheres to quality and accuracy standards.Technology Engagement: Continuously improve personal knowledge and proficiency with emerging Geomatics technologies, enhancing field capabilities and operational efficiency.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in construction Geomatics, including using Geomatics tools and Grade control systems on civil projects.Technical Skills:Fundamental understanding of Geomatics software and equipment.Ability to perform basic Geomatics calculations and understand field data collection processes.Communication: Effective communication skills to report task outcomes and collaborate with team members.Education: Preferably a diploma or equivalent in a technical field related to surveying or construction technology, supplemented by field training or workshops.Certifications: Current certifications or licenses in surveying, safety, or related fields are advantageous.ACCIONA has received the Top Employer certifications in the US for ****, ****, ****, and ****, and Top Employers North America for ****, ****, ****, and ****.
