For our client, an iconic tech company known for its innovative products and design, we are looking for a Writer to join our team at OLIVER to deliver and maintain high-quality marketing copy for a leading US tech global company/brand and their product launches and descriptions.
You will help ensure marketing copy is accurate, engaging, locally relevant, and consistent with the brand's tone of voice and brand standards.
Post-edit large volumes of machine-translated marketing copy to ensure accuracy, fluency, and quality.
Transcreate marketing copy so the intended message, tone, and brand personality are preserved in the local market language.
Deliver high-quality launch copy for products and maintain consistency across materials.
Localise copy for the target market while staying true to brand’s tone of voice, messaging, and inclusive writing standards.
Write creative copy and headlines for selected deliverables, including English back-translations of localised headlines.
Research product and technical details and work with cross-functional teams, project managers, and editors to ensure accuracy.
Stay informed about market trends, cultural changes, and socio-political developments that may affect copy and localisation decisions.
Work on customer-facing marketing materials across web, in-store, direct mail, print, and other channels.
Support sustain work as well as launch projects, including attending at least one launch workshop in London or remotely each year.
Work closely with editors and Language Leads to maintain quality and flag any issues.
Native-level fluency in the local-market language.
Strong English proficiency, with the ability to discuss creative and linguistic choices clearly and confidently.
Experience in copywriting, translation, and technical writing, ideally in technology or consumer electronics.
Strong creative writing skills and the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
Ability to translate marketing copy while preserving brand voice and messaging.
Knowledge of technical writing principles and ability to translate complex technical language into easy-to-understand copy.
Knowledge of MT systems and MT quality evaluation is ideal.
