We are seeking a Signaling Services Technician for URBAN Projects based in Madrid.
Your Future Role
Take on a new challenge and apply your signaling maintenance experience in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.
You will carry out this assignment based on the objectives and priorities established by Management, participating in the correct execution of maintenance and project works in the Services Spain and Portugal Projects, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual indices and service quality requirements. Daily, you’ll collaborate with teams across the business, verify the correct development of the Maintenance Plan, supervise installation works during modifications, support other field activities such as installation and T&C, and work closely with the Customer to provide expert assistance, maintaining high service excellence in the market.
Main Tasks
* Develop contractual maintenance documentation.
* Manage reporting processes to the Customer regarding incidents/events.
* Support the Customer technically during incidents/events related to onboard and trackside equipment, applying expert project knowledge and REX.
* Support on-site maintenance activities, system repairs, or installations.
* Assist project execution, focusing on design, installation, and test & commissioning functions.
* Establish and optimize Maintenance Processes.
* Follow up on quality contract indexes (Reliability, Availability, Regularity, etc.) and conduct failure analysis.
* Update LCC transversally with the Services Team.
* Describe faults, causes, and solutions; report internally and to the Customer.
* Monitor and control modifications and specific activities.
* Propose and implement actions to improve customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with Quality System standards.
* Analyze technical problems with various companies, suppliers, and project units, providing technical data on anomalies.
* Support Customer monitoring works and repair failures.
* Prepare technical breakdown reports.
* Elaborate REX reports and propose design improvements.
* Control software versions of onboard/trackside electronic equipment.
* Study and implement predictive maintenance techniques.
* Maintain updated technical documentation of the tramway system for the Engineering Department.
* Manage obsolescence with suppliers.
* Follow up on repairs.
* Establish and execute training plans for Customer and internal teams.
* Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Safety, and Labor Health norms, promoting safety and environmental measures during maintenance works.
* Plan preventive maintenance.
* Release troubleshooting documents to improve corrective maintenance efficiency.
Candidate Profile
We value passion and attitude over experience. While not expecting every skill, the following will help you succeed:
* Superior professional training in communication, electrical, or electronics fields.
* Extensive computer skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Catia V5, etc.).
* Technical knowledge of railway equipment.
* Basic knowledge of equipment connections, communication, and mechanics.
* Innovative mindset and decision-making skills.
Teamworking skills (communication, collaboration, teamwork) are essential.
* Knowledge of networks and industrial communication protocols is valued.
* Knowledge of the railway industry, projects, and clients is beneficial.
* Experience in maintenance of railway systems and industrial equipment is valued.
* Experience in railway signaling or industrial equipment installation and T&C activities is advantageous.
* Experience managing complex technical interfaces in maintenance and project execution is preferred.
