Grow together with the team as an Postgres Database System Engineer and be part of a Global Top Employer company where you will be involved in interesting projects that will lead you to your fullest development!**The position**The Postgres Database System Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, technical architecture, implementation, organizational framework and hand-over to general delivery services with focus on private and public cloud, standardization, 3rd level support and business consultancy.**Duties & Responsibilities**- Consulting and Analysis on BI Database Platforms Technologies.- Subject Matter Expert support for Platform related problems/incidents and initiatives including root cause analysis.- Process and strategy for automated deployment and bulk-patching of Database Environments.- Preparing/deployment code for automation of operational processes (continuous improvement).- GxP compliant creation of documentation.- Ensuring strict security compliance.- Capacity/license/budget planning, tracking and optimization.**Requirements**:- Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline- At least 3 years of experience working with database services in public/hybrid cloud models (technical skills with Postgres on Azure preferred) and on High Availability Solutions (e.G., Failover Cluster)- At least 4 years of experience as a Postgres Database Administrator in large Enterprise environments.- Experience with software defined infrastructure concepts.- Automation experience with automation technology (e.G., PowerShell, Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX).- Experience with cloud Migrations.- Experience with ITIL processes (Change/Problem/Incident management)- Technical skills on Linux are a plus.- Experience working in an international and intercultural environment and availability to travel.- Excellent people skills with a focus on customer service and customer experience, open for innovation, proven ability to work to stringent deadlines, experience in database tuning optimization and performance analysis.- Excellent spoken and written English.- #IamBoehringerIngelheim because _With us, you can grow, collaborate, innovate and improve lives.
