APM Terminals is seeking a Yard Crane Automation Product Specialist to drive end‑to‑end product performance for yard crane automation solutions, ensuring that the technical and operational requirements of our terminals are met and continuously improved.Responsibilities- Support the Automation Product Lead and Large Crane Automation Team with the yard crane automation scope, including system interfaces, remote control and user terminal requirements.- Take responsibility for the product lifecycle from identifying the value proposition to launching the product and driving ongoing product maturity.- Develop the product development roadmap, own OEM relationships, and map business/operational requirements and performance criteria that form the technical product blueprints.- Partner with team members and users to enable integrated solutions, define cross‑product requirements and deliver a seamless customer experience.- Ensure the value proposition delivers on clearly defined product objectives and actively cooperate with deployment teams and the user community.- Design, evaluate and implement technical and operational solutions throughout the product lifecycle, including co‑creation and post‑launch performance management.- Assess OEM versus in‑house development strategy and determine the optimal business‑driven approach (cost, flexibility, adaptability, data ownership, etc.).- Develop the automation retrofitting strategy and associated technical solutions.- Ensure product safety, support safety cases with OT Functional Safety and Global Safety teams, and own piloting safety cases.- Manage the product integrity process to guarantee deployment success while contributing to product maturity and blueprint.- Collect, measure and act on user feedback, implementing improvements according to the product roadmap and ensuring continuous lifecycle improvement.- Collaborate with suppliers and internal product teams to mature the product, prioritise terminal needs and incorporate them into the integrated product value proposition.- Advocate product management best practices within the wider product organization.- Share responsibilities in product performance, IP inputs, QA/test case development, IT standards application, backlog prioritisation, and implementation success with the OT and terminal operations teams.Qualifications- Minimum 8 years of product, programme or project management experience in technology and/or operations, preferably involving automation and the transport/logistics sector.- Experience in a real‑time operating/industrial environment (logistics, shipping, etc.).- Strong understanding of port equipment, automated systems and controls, and related industrial infrastructure architecture.- Knowledge of finance and contract management, with experience in business case building.- Proven management experience delivering results with a team.- Education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred;
