Communications Senior Associate
At Tennium we are looking for a Communications Senior Associate to join our team and support the strategic development, execution, and evaluation of communication activities across our tournaments and corporate projects. This is a key role within our Communications Department, requiring strong analytical skills, excellent media understanding, and hands-on experience in tennis communications and PR.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in fast-paced, international environments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Develop and support communication strategies for Tennium and Tennium tournaments.
* Coordinate PR Plans for different tournaments, messaging, press releases, media materials, and tournament announcements.
* Coordinate Influencer strategies for different tournaments.
* Develop and execute Media Deals with key outlets.
* Organize press events.
* Organize Influencer events and experiences.
* Coordinate the local PR teams.
* Assist on-site at tournaments to ensure smooth communications operations.
* Liaise with ATP communications teams, media officers, and local PR teams.
* Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key stakeholders.
* Detect storytelling opportunities and pitch relevant news angles.
* Monitor press coverage and prepare media reports.
* Monitor influencer coverage and prepare reports.
* Draft press releases, Q&As, talking points, web texts, newsletters, speeches, hospitality brochures, photobooks (...).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* +5 years of PR or Communications experience, preferably within sports, tennis, events, or related industries. Ideally experience working in communications for ATP tournaments.
* At least 2 years of professional experience working with influencers.
* Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
* Excellent verbal and written Spanish and English required, additional languages are a plus.
* Excellent writing and editing skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Strong analytical mindset and reporting capabilities.
* Good understanding of sports media, especially tennis.
* Influencer and/or press contacts are a plus.
* Availability to travel.
