What will you do?
As a SCIB risk analyst, you will analyze and monitor risk metrics used within SCIB. You will also control limits and exposures, adhering to standards set by Santander Group for the SCIB portfolio.
You will collaborate daily with risk teams (Global, Local), Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Internal and External Audit teams.
Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring control and exposure metrics for the SCIB portfolio, clients, sectors, and products (Credit and Counterparty Credit Risk) across geographies.
* Managing limit excesses and reporting on governance at various levels.
* Controlling product limits and CCR limits/excesses daily.
* Communicating with regulators and participating in inspections and reporting.
* Onboarding new SCIB clients and managing perimeter controls.
* Monitoring overdue payments and defaults globally and regionally.
* Leading new projects within the control team.
Experience & Education
* Minimum 2 years in banking or related sectors.
* Experience in risk management, credit, counterparty risk, model risk, and IT systems.
* Project management experience is desirable.
* Required: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or similar.
* Preferred: Education in Banking, Financial Markets, Data Analytics.
Skills
* Strong analytical skills, both technical and financial.
* Comfortable in dynamic, evolving environments.
* Advanced English proficiency.
* Deep understanding of banking strategies and counterparty credit risk products.
* Effective communication skills, especially with senior management.
* Proficiency with data tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
