Offer Description
The Institute of Smart Cities (ISC) of the Public University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain, offers a full-time contract within the Research Project "MOBILES - Monitoring and detection of biotic and abiotic pollutants by electronic, plants and microorganisms based sensors" (HE-CL6-ZEROPOLLUTION).
-Professional category: Project Assistant Doctor Type 1, largely a researcher in nature.
-Tasks to carry out: The contracted person will develop the data pipeline for the metagenomic system within the MOBILES project, as well as tasks related to communication systems, haptics, and external sensor system integration.
-Type of contract: Scientific-technical activity contract in accordance with Law 14/2011, Article 23 bis.
Official Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Biotechnology or similar. Degrees obtained abroad must be accompanied by an equivalence certificate.
Research environment within a European project.

SECTION 1: Academic record - 5 points
Score based on degree and academic performance, with specific multipliers for relevant degrees and honors.
SECTION 2: Work experience - 8 points
Points awarded for research-related contracts and professional experience, with up to 2 points per year.
SECTION 3: Other merits - 32 points
* Experience in software development, Linux/Unix/BSD systems, hardware/electronics, data infrastructure, data presentation, sensor integration, metagenomics, and sequence comparison.
English skills: 1 point for B1 level or higher.
SECTION 4:
Personal interview - 5 points
Candidates need at least 25 points to be interviewed and a minimum of 30 points to pass. Ties are resolved based on scores in specific sections.
Selection process
Assessment based on submitted merits, with evaluation by the committee and scoring averages. Only merits submitted before the deadline are considered.
