About BSC
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is the hosting entity for EuroHPC JU. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D in computer and computational science and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.
Context and Mission
The Technologies for Biomedical Research Lab (TechBioLab) within the Life Sciences Department brings together specialised teams to enable research activities in the Life Sciences. Activities include research data and software, infrastructure for centralized and federated analysis and learning, and development of Trusted Research Environments to enable analysis of sensitive data without moving data from its original site. The openVRE virtual research environment and WfExS workflow orchestrator are developed to facilitate secure data analysis. This role is within this ecosystem and contributes to EU and national projects such as EOSC-ENTRUST.

Design, develop and maintain secure Virtual Research Environments and Trusted Research Environments to enable compliant analysis of sensitive data in national and European research projects.
Integrate and evolve existing platforms and tools developed at the Lab ensuring interoperability and alignment with community standards.
