Job Description
Join Experian’s Data Science team, where innovation meets real‑world impact. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Data Scientist to develop and provide the latest analytical solutions that empower smarter decisions—especially in the financial services sector.
You will achieve agreed recurring revenue and new‑business targets by developing new and repeat business opportunities from our customers. You will also be responsible for developing relationships with clients and connecting with main business executives and team members to communicate our value proposition. You will report to the Head of Analytics in Spain.
You’ll Have Opportunity To
- Achieve a total revenue target and a new business target.
- Identify important contacts within existing accounts; cross‑sell and upsell accordingly.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Experian’s proposition and be experienced in communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect in the context of client needs.
- Develop an account plan to support revenue goals.
- Validate the account plan with the client, build and implement a contact strategy.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data science in credit risk, fraud analytics, or marketing analytics.
- Background in machine learning, predictive modelling and statistical analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, advanced analytics and automation.
- Knowledge of R, SQL is highly valued as an additional asset.
- Knowledge of Power BI for creating interactive dashboards.
- Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Cloudera, and Snowflake).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Good to Have
- Knowledge or hands‑on experience with Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with credit‑related topics (e.g., issuing, monitoring, bureau data) and regulatory analytics frameworks (“Basel”, IFRS 9).
