Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on and reliable
Field Service Technician (Clinical Support)
to serve as our on-site representative in the hospital. This role is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations of our per-procedure model and supporting surgical teams with instrument readiness, coordination, and quality control. You will be the key link between the hospital (surgeons, OR staff, CSSD) and our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities -Pre-surgery preparation Prepare and verify surgical instrument sets before each procedure Track instrument usage and ensure no instrument exceeds defined use limits Deliver sterile instrument sets to the operating room (OR) -Post-surgery handling Collect used instruments after procedures Perform visual inspection for damage or wear Record surgeon feedback on instrument performance Complete post-procedure checklists -Reprocessing coordination Coordinate with hospital CSSD for cleaning and sterilization Verify reprocessing follows Instructions for Use (IFU) Check sterilization indicators and document cycles Note: This role does not perform reprocessing, but ensures compliance -Segregation and logistics Identify damaged or end-of-life instruments Perform pre-cleaning and prepare items for return shipment Label, package, and document shipments to the Netherlands facility -Complaint intake & escalation Act as the first point of contact for any performance issues reported by surgeons Escalate complaints according to internal procedures Support vigilance reporting when required -Traceability & documentation Maintain accurate instrument lifecycle and use-count records Ensure full traceability in line with quality and regulatory requirements
Requirements Hands-on experience in a hospital environment (e.g. OR, CSSD, or clinical engineering) Familiarity with surgical instruments and reprocessing workflows Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and process discipline Ability to work independently in a clinical setting Good communication skills with medical professionals Language: Spanish (professional working proficiency) English (professional working proficiency) Nice to Have Experience in medical device companies (field service or clinical support roles) Basic understanding of medical device regulations and quality systems
