The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services across a diverse, general operation.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growthIdentify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms, quality, and delivery for goods and services.Oversee supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, service level agreements, and company standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and support new product launchesLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement teamEnsure adherence to purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout the organizationPrepare and present regular reports on purchasing activity, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior managementDrive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, including process optimization and risk mitigationSupport budget planning and cost control efforts in line with organizational goalsMonitor market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential risksRequirements:Proven track record in a senior purchasing or procurement leadership role, ideally within a multi-site or international food, retail, or FMCG environmentStrong negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skillsExperience developing and implementing procurement strategies and leading cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a results-driven mindsetBachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Proficiency with procurement systems and reporting tools; experience with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices is an advantageAdaptable, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentJob Title: Purchasing Director - Food industryLocation: Madrid, spainSalary: €negotiableIf you would like to have more information about the role, please apply or send your cv to ****** social.......
