Business Developer (The Ultimate Advisor)We are not looking for a "salesperson." If you want to pitch products and hit a quota by talking at people, go somewhere else. We are looking for the ultimate advisor. Your goal is to build a relationship so deep that the client wouldn't dream of making a major life or business decision without calling you first. You aren't selling a service;
you are selling your judgment.
The MandateWe will start by working on the factory floor, doing the "grunt work." You will learn everything about how our products are made, organize salesforce data, proofread pitch decks at 2:00 AM, and fetch coffee for the team. If we can’t trust you to get a font right or a lunch order perfect, we can’t trust you with a multi-million relationship. You must have zero ego and an infinite work ethic.
The "No Task is Beneath You" ProtocolIn this role, "work‑life balance" is measured by the decade, not the day. If a client or a partner emails you at 11:00 PM on a Saturday, you respond by 11:05 PM. Speed demonstrates client priority. This is not a 9-to-5 job.
The 24/7 Responsiveness StandardYou are expected to be relentlessly responsive and always prioritize client needs.
The Art of the Follow‑UpYou will persistently pursue opportunities after the first refusal. You will find a way to reach CEOs and turn a “no” into a request for more information or better timing.
Performance Under PressureYou will be put in rooms with people smarter and more experienced than you. Your job is to take notes: never sit in a meeting without a pen and paper. It shows respect, demonstrates listening, and ensures you capture subtle hooks for adding value later.
Core Competencies
Extreme Humility:
Comforting being the "dumbest" in the room while learning technicals until they become second nature.
The "Admissions Mistake" Grit:
Valuing those who prove something and feel like an underdog.
Integrity Above Revenue:
Willingness to advise a prospect against a bad deal, even at the cost of commission, to build lasting trust.
Attention to Detail:
One typo in a client email signals sloppiness;
in this business,sloppiness is fatal.
What You GainYou will learn how the world actually works, how to communicate, persuade, and build a network that sustains you for thirty years. If you survive the first two years of the "grind," you earn the right to be a Senior Business Developer.
How To ApplyIf you’re worried about the hours or "menial" tasks, don’t apply. If you want to be the person everyone calls at the highest stakes, we want to talk to you.
