You will be instrumental in a key period of significant growth as our Meeting Services in Spain gain momentum, requiring dedicated leadership to manage operations and increase market share. Operating at a local level within the Issuer Services Spain business unit and the Back Office department, your primary responsibilities will focus on the delivery of Meeting Services to our Spanish and Portuguese clients. You will also be a key collaborator, engaging with teams globally, regionally (CE), and across Spain. Beyond operations, if you have a legal background, you will provide essential legal advice, including client contract review, Data Protection, Risk Management, and market research. As the Head of Meeting Services Spain & Portugal, you will be the driving force behind a key area of growth for Computershare Investor Services PLC, Sucursal en España. Operating within the Issuer Services Spain business unit, you will own the delivery of our Meeting Services to both Spanish and Portuguese clients. Your main focus will be to lead and deliver excellent service, while also driving innovation and efficiency. The core responsibilities that define this role include: Lead End-to-End Service Delivery: Take full ownership of delivering Meeting Services (running AGMs from start to finish), managing resources either independently or by leveraging support staff across Spain, CE, and the UK. Drive Market Share Growth: Work closely with the Sales Team to strategically increase Computershare's market presence in the Spanish and Portuguese Meeting Services business line. Champion Service Innovation: Develop and implement necessary tools and solutions to meet client needs, including enhancing current systems to introduce new features.. Ensure Operational Excellence: Continuously monitor and improve operational procedures, with a focus on risk and data protection, to boost the efficiency and quality of our service output. Provide Key Legal Counsel (if applicable): Leverage your legal background to offer essential advice, including reviewing client contracts and supporting key functions in Data Protection and Risk Management. This role operates in a highly regulated financial industry environment (e.g., US, GB, AUS), meaning your work will be critical in ensuring full compliance and maintaining our reputation for quality and trust. You'll need to combine deep market knowledge with sharp operational and leadership skills to make a tangible impact. This role demands a resilient professional with a proven track record of managing high-stakes situations while simultaneously building a scalable, high-quality service. Here are the core capabilities and background you'll need to succeed: Senior Leadership & Team Development: You'll bring several years of senior leadership experience (preferably in the Spanish market) and the ability to inspire and lead a team through intense periods, including direct management of hiring, training, and accountability for business objectives. Deep Market and Regulatory Expertise: A strong understanding of AGM procedures in Spain and an in-depth knowledge of corporate law ("LSC") and related regulations is essential. A background in CoSec/Legal/IR departments or Securities at a depositary bank is required. Operational Scalability & Excellence: Proven ability to establish and maintain solid operational procedures for service delivery, making the process efficient and scalable to serve multiple, large clients simultaneously. Crisis Management & Attention to Detail: A track record of performing effectively under pressure to deliver a seamless, real-time client experience, including fast troubleshooting and developing robust contingency procedures for IT and staff-related incidents on event day. Strategic Project Management: Proven experience in setting up and managing working groups (using internal staff and contingency workers) to successfully execute complex, time-sensitive meeting projects. Essential Business Acumen: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Legal or Business Administration is desired) and strong communication skills to liaise strategically with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and InfoSec teams across regions. Language & Technical Skills: High-level proficiency in Business English and strong MS Office skills (especially Excel). Spanish mother tongue is desirable.
