Job description:
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING MATERIALS SPECIALIST (F/M/X)

Position Objective:

At ITP Aero, a company specialized in the design, manufacturing, and in-service support of aircraft turbines, we are looking to hire a person with a background in Materials and Manufacturing Processes to support the development of new materials through additive manufacturing technologies.

What You Will Do:
* Define, launch, and monitor testing campaigns.
* Post-process experimental results and generate material data for the design of aerospace components.
* Participate in the development and definition of specifications that establish the standards to be followed across the value chain of produced parts, ensuring the robustness and integrity of both the process and the resulting components.
* Define inspection (NDT) and acceptance criteria for components manufactured using additive technologies.
* Lead coordination meetings with various departments (design, analysis, quality, procurement, etc.) as well as with technology centers, laboratories, and universities.
* Draft technical documentation.
Who We Are Looking For:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering.

Experience:
Previous research experience is valued but not required.

Desirable Knowledge:

* Training in materials and processes for aerospace components.
* Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques such as dye penetrant inspection, tomography, ultrasound, etc.
* Understanding of microstructural evaluation of metallic materials.
* Experience with mechanical testing.
* Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as optical or electron microscopes.
* Knowledge of heat treatment processes for metallic materials.
* Understanding of joining processes such as welding, brazing, etc.
* Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), Binder Jet, Laser Metal Deposition (LMD), WAAM, etc.
* Experience in drafting technical documentation.
* Knowledge of metallic powder manufacturing processes.

Languages:
High level of English. Certified C1 level.

This specific role will focus on the development of materials and additive manufacturing processes.

You will also support components that are already installed and have been in operation in their respective engines.
