Your tasks
You will take on global responsibility for the professional and strategic development of the Smaragd Compliance Suite. Smaragd is our leading AI-powered compliance suite that helps financial institutions and regulated companies combat financial crime, mitigate risks, and quickly and accurately meet evolving regulatory requirements. From real-time monitoring to automatic risk assessment, Smaragd provides transparency and control on a scalable platform.
In this role, you report directly to the Senior Vice President – Software Solutions.
* You define and manage the overall strategy, orchestrate the global roadmap, lead market and competitive positioning, and bridge market trends, regulatory requirements, product vision, and technical implementation.
* You work closely with Executive Leadership, the Engineering department, Sales, Legal, and Consulting, and act as the central driver for Smaragd's global growth and RegTech relevance.
* Bridge between market, regulation, product vision, and technology: Defining the global product strategy and value proposition.
* Market, competition, and trend analysis (RegTech/AI/Compliance): Identifying new use cases, industries, and segments.
* Translating strategic market and regulatory insights into epics and capabilities: Managing portfolios and functional architecture with engineering.
* Thought leadership on innovative components (risk models, screening, AI).
* Establishing functional governance, traceability, and quality standards.
* Strategic customer and regulatory interaction (executive level), leading RFPs, workshops, and product reviews.
* Stakeholder management with executive leadership, sales, legal, and architecture.
* Functional leadership/mentoring of PMs/BAs/SMEs.
* Building and maintaining functional governance frameworks.
Your Profile
* 6+ years of experience in product, compliance, and RegTech
* Deep expertise in AML, KYC, sanctions, and payments
* Solid understanding of operational compliance processes in banks (e.g., transaction monitoring, screening, CDD, reporting, alert handling)
* Ability to translate regulatory insights into a strategic product vision
* Strong market, competitive, and innovation focus
* Executive stakeholder management
* Leadership skills and thought leadership
* Excellent English skills.
* Nice to have: Germany language skill.
