Viking Assistance Group is a leading provider of roadside assistance and vehicle-related services in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. We also support drivers across Europe through our international partner network. We ensure efficient, safe, and reliable support for vehicles and passengers, no matter where a breakdown occurs. Through Viking Travel Care we assists travelers and expatriates worldwide on behalf of travel insurance companies. We coordinate assistance for Nordic travelers, and with the help of our global network of medical providers and partners, we assist 24/7 365 in everything from minor travel-related incidents to complex medical emergencies.
Role Overview
The IT department delivers technology services to Viking Assistance Group. We are seeking a Software developer who will deliver programming services to Vikings IT applications in line with best practice, established architectural principles and secure coding. The role reports to the Group CTO. Work location is in our office in Torrevieja, Spain.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver code to ongoing or new projects in Viking
* Be part of a development team that delivers critical applications to Vikings extensive network and operations
Qualifications
* Relevant IT education with focus on object-oriented programming, like .net or Java.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle
* Knowledge of front-end technologies (React, Node, JS)
* Knowledge of GDPR, data governance and data security
* Knowledge of Viking and Vikings core business
* Preferably experience from Operations or IT Support
* Proficient working in English or Scandinavian language
* A clean criminal record is a prerequisite
