As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will be the technical guardian ensuring the seamless operation of global cloud systems, applying your electrical and mechanical skills to maintain the heartbeat of technological innovation.
Key Job Responsibilities
SAFETY
* Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture.
* Ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.
* Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Transformers.
* Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
* Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log‑taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
* Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
* Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night).
* Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection.
* Perform physical tasks during the shift.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
* High school or equivalent diploma
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in data center engineering
* English level B1 or higher
