About the Role
We seek a Data Operations Engineer Specialist to help us adapt to operational needs through coding in Python and managing data workflows. You will be part of the Data Strategy team, focusing on expanding our sustainability database, supporting research and development teams, and interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing data from various sources using Python and SQL, defining data retrieval strategies.
* Creating dynamic data assets with DBT and Airflow for analytics.
* Developing automated dashboards and reports using SQL, Python, and tools like Quicksight.
* Automating processes with orchestration tools, APIs, and streamlining business workflows.
* Supporting data pipeline delivery, validation, and new pipeline creation.
* Explaining data insights to diverse teams.
* Designing solution architecture diagrams and supporting build processes.
* Providing technical support for operational tasks.
* Modifying ETLs with the data engineering team, managing web scraping activities, and integrating third-party tools.
* Writing maintainable, tested code with version control, primarily using Gitlab.
* Collaborating with Data Science for data serving and quality assurance.
This position is based in Barcelona/Madrid, with remote/hybrid working options.
Requirements:
* Over 3 years of experience in data analytics or engineering.
* At least 1 year of professional experience with Airflow and DBT.
* Strong skills in SQL and Python.
* Ability to design data models and build pipelines.
* Degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
* Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level or higher).
* Experience in the financial sector and knowledge of sustainability are advantageous.
