We are urgently looking for a Painting / Coating Supervisor to support a major international energy yard project in Tarragona, Spain .
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on site professional with experience in industrial painting, protective coatings, corrosion protection, surface preparation, and subcontractor supervision on large-scale construction or energy projects.
What you’ll be doing
* Supervising daily painting and coating activities on site
* Overseeing surface preparation, blasting, cleaning, and pre-application checks
* Ensuring works are carried out in line with project specs, QA/QC requirements, and HSE standards
* Coordinating contractors, inspectors, and construction teams to maintain progress and quality
* Monitoring productivity, progress, and completion against the schedule
* Supporting inspection activities including DFT checks, environmental controls, punch listing, and close-out
* Raising and resolving site quality issues related to coating execution
What we’re looking for: (do apply if you meet some of these requirements)
* Previous experience as a Painting Supervisor, Coating Supervisor, or similar
* Strong understanding of protective coating systems, corrosion control, and surface preparation
* Background in energy, LNG, oil & gas, fabrication, petrochemical, marine, or heavy industrial projects
* Ability to manage subcontractors and work closely with QA/QC and site teams
* Good working knowledge of industrial quality and safety standards
* Candidates with exposure to NACE, FROSIO, SSPC, ISO, or xhfqzwm equivalent standards are highly desirable
* Available to mobilise ASAP
Project details
* Location: Tarragona, Spain
* Hours: 56 hours/week, Monday to Saturday
* Rate: €40/hour
* Contract: ASAP to 31.07.2026, with possible extension
For candidates outside Tarragona
* Accommodation reimbursed up to €2,000/month
* Rental car reimbursed up to €850/month
* Mob/demob flights reimbursed + up to 8 hours travel time per trip
* Home leave flights reimbursed approximately every 3 months in case of extension
