At Itera Mobility Engineering, we are looking for an Automotive Plant Quality Engineer to join our engineering team and support an important client located in Valencia, Spain.
Main responsibilities of the position:
* Execute disciplined APQP throughout the PPAP program procedure by customer requirements.
* Process and product audits.
* Equipment calibration management and development of control plans.
* Drive and execute actions to meet Cost of Quality target.
* Problem solving activities throughout the development phase.
* Ensure compliance with OEM and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
* Monitor production quality performance and lead root cause analysis for non-conformities using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys).
* Act as the main quality interface between the plant, suppliers, and customers for series production issues.
* Support launch and ramp-up phases, ensuring quality readiness and stable processes from SOP onwards.
* Define, implement, and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, and quality checkpoints on the production line.
* Lead containment, corrective, and preventive actions to minimize scrap, rework, and customer impact.
* Analyze quality data (KPIs, defect trends, PPM, audit results) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support and participate in internal and external audits (IATF 16949, VDA, customer audits).
* Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure robust processes and product quality.
* Promote a quality mindset within the plant, ensuring lessons learned and best practices are effectively deployed.
Requirements:
* Experience as Plant Quality Engineer (+3 years) at automotive sector.
* VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5 certifications are essential.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Previous knowledge in Automotive and plastic injection parts.
