Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sales Manager to drive the sales of pneumatic pumps, compressors, blowers, and related products across Spain and Portugal. This role is adecuado for a dynamic professional with extensive technical sales expertise, fluency in English, and a passion for providing solutions to customers in diverse industries. The External Salesperson will be responsible for managing existing accounts, generating new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful promotion of industry-leading brands such as Haskel, Butech, Williams, Firestone, Gast, Ventur, and DP products.
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets in Spain and Portugal.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Promote the sale of pneumatic pumps, compressors, blowers, and related products, showcasing technical expertise and understanding customer needs.
Customer Engagement and Support:
- Provide technical consultation to customers, helping them choose the best solutions for their applications.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training, and presentations to highlight the benefits and capabilities of the product portfolio.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, service, and support.
Market and Product Knowledge:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in pneumatic systems.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the product portfolio, including brands such as Haskel, Butech, Williams, Firestone, Gast, Ventur, and DP products.
- Monitor market conditions and report feedback to the leadership team to refine sales strategies.
Travel:
Travel extensively (75% of the time) across Spain and Portugal to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct on-site visits.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales within the pneumatic pumps, compressors, blowers, or related industries.
- Proven track record of selling products from market leading brands such as Haskel, Butech, Williams, Firestone, Gast, Ventur, and DP products in Spain and Portugal.
- Experience in managing a large territory with frequent travel demands.
- Strong understanding of pneumatic systems, applications, and the industries they serve.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and solutions to customers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Based in Spain ideally within 1 hour of a major airport hub (e.g., Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia)
- Valid driver’s license and passport for travel within the designated territory.
Key Competencies
- Experience in selling to industries such as energy, beverage, and general industrial applications.
- Established network of contacts in Spain and Portugal relevant to pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting software
