As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's AI and agentic platform services (Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Kiro, and Amazon SageMaker, etc) within strategic accounts. Your broad responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
The ideal candidate will possess customer‑facing skills that allow them to represent Amazon well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel, as well as a technical background enabling interaction and guidance to software developers and architects. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Key Job Responsibilities
Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well‑defined objectives and success criteria.
Own each technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value. (delivery of actual solutions to be done by AWS partners)
Capture and share best‑practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.G., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Experience working with end user or developer communities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within software development or Internet‑related industries
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
