The Software Engineer is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining products and/or systems to enable Sage’s business plans and long-term objectives using the identified architecture.
The Software Engineer will assume ownership in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality products, systems, and services that exceed customer or business partner expectations. They will proactively share their knowledge of specific technical solutions and business processes within their area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities:
* Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of software development to complete difficult assignments.
* Successfully develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.).
* Work with product managers early to shape product definitions for flexible, extensible, and robust implementation.
* Stay updated with relevant technology areas.
* Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
* Evaluate progress and results, recommending major procedural changes as needed.
* Partner effectively with all team members to meet commitments.
* Provide technical leadership and expertise to foster engagement, clarity, and a culture of innovation and execution.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with various Sage teams to drive results.
* Mentor and coach junior team members.
* Commit to team success and maintain positive team dynamics.
* Passionately grow and apply technical skills in service to customers.
* Extensive experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Extreme Programming.
* Maintain relevant documentation for logic, coding, testing, and changes.
* Ensure all tasks meet quality standards.
