Pb ABOUT LA MARQUESA: /b /p p La Marquesa Golf in Alicante, Spain, was founded in 1989 by Justo Quesada as Quesada Golf Club and /pp renamed in 1994 to La Marquesa Golf Country Club. It’s an 18-hole, par72 parkland course set in a valley /pp surrounded by mountains, featuring wide fairways, streams, lakes, bunkers, and palm-lined greens. Highlights /pp include a replica of TPC Sawgrass’s island green on hole 16 and Spain’s first par6 hole (up to 644 m). Facilities /pp include a clubhouse with restaurant and bar, pro shop, swimming pool, driving range, putting and chipping areas, /pp practice bunker, and a golf school offering lessons. /p pb ROLE OVERVIEW: /b /pp The Club Manager will be responsible for all golf experiences at La Marquesa. The Club Manager will develop /pp and execute strategies to grow revenue, maintain high service standards, and deliver exceptional guest and /pp member experiences. This leadership role requires a dynamic, hands-on manager with the ability to oversee a /pp large team, manage budgets, and uphold compliance across all departments, while fostering a culture of /pp excellence and professionalism. /p pb KEY ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES: /b /p pem Leadership and Strategy: /em /p ulli Lead and manage all club operational aspects of La Marquesa, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the /li /ulp golf course, pro shop, FB, events, and membership services. /p ulli Develop and implement strategic plans to grow membership, drive revenue, and maintain the club’s /li /ulp competitive edge in the market. /p ulli Align club activities with long-term business goals, regularly reviewing operational performance and making /li /ulp adjustments as needed. /p ulli Maintain strong relationships with asset management, ownership and other senior managers on site, /li /ulp providing regular updates on financial performance, operations, and key initiatives. /p pem Operational Oversight: /em /p ulli Ensure high operational efficiency and service standards across all departments. /li /ul ulli Oversee the golf course maintenance team to ensure the course is in pristine condition, addressing any /li /ulp operational or aesthetic issues. /p ulli Lead the Food Beverage department, ensuring exceptional dining experiences in the restaurant and during /li /ulp events. /p ulli Manage golf operations, including tee times, tournaments, and guest services, ensuring smooth flow and /li /ulp premium service. /p ulli Ensure seamless coordination between departments, including housekeeping, pro shop, events, and FB, to /li /ulp deliver a cohesive guest experience. /p pem Financial Management: /em /p ulli Prepare, manage, and oversee the club’s annual operating budget, ensuring financial goals are met and /li /ulp operational efficiency is maintained. /p ulli Develop and implement revenue-driving strategies through membership sales, events, golf operations, retail /li /ulp and FB services. /p ulli Monitor financial performance, including profit and loss statements, cost control, and revenue generation. /li /ul ulli Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality or member experience. /li /ul pem Members Guest Relations: /em /p ulli Cultivate a welcoming and vibrant environment for both members and guests, addressing concerns promptly /li /ulp and ensuring satisfaction. /p ulli Manage and attend key meeting with any committees, members and societies to develop relationships and /li /ulp ensure golfers that the businesses decision making is aligned with its key objectives. /p ulli Establish and nurture relationships with current and potential members, fostering a sense of community and /li /ulp loyalty. /p ulli Organise regular events, tournaments, and activities to enhance the member experience and encourage /li /ulp repeat visits. /p pem Staff Management Development: /em /p ulli Recruit, train, and manage a large team of department heads and staff, ensuring a high level of performance /li /ulp across all areas. /pulli Promote a positive work culture, encourage teamwork, and provide leadership to managers and staff at all /li /ulp levels. /pulli Implement staff training and development programs to maintain high service standards and operational /li /ulp consistency. /pulli Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to ensure the ongoing growth of the /li /ulp team. /p p Compliance Safety: /p ulli Ensure the club adheres to all local laws and regulations, including food hygiene, fire safety, and labour laws. /li /ul ulli Maintain up-to-date certifications and licenses for all relevant business areas, including retail alcohol and /li /ulp tobacco sales, food safety, and fire prevention. /p ulli Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of guests, staff, and assets across the facility. /li /ul pem Event Tournaments Management: /em /p ulli Oversee the planning and execution of high-profile golf tournaments, corporate events, weddings, and other /li /ulp MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) activities. /p ulli Oversee the events team to ensure successful coordination between departments and a flawless guest /li /ulp experience. /p ulli Promote the club as a thriving destination for golf and corporate events, driving event bookings and revenue /li /ulp growth. /p ulli Developing relationships with societies and local partners to develop revenue streams whilst ensuring /li /ulp operational efficiencies. /p pem Marketing Brand Management: /em /p ulli Manage the marketing team/marketing agency to create promotional strategies that enhance the club’s /li /ulp visibility and attract new members and guests. /p ulli Ensure that all marketing materials, online presence, and guest interactions reflect the club’s premium brand. /li /ul ulli Promote La Marquesa as a destination of choice for local and international golf enthusiasts. /li /ul pb BASIC REQUIREMENTS /b /p p• Proven experience in management or director-level roles within golf clubs, hospitality or complex leisure assets. /pp• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage day-to-day operations. /pp• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and revenue generation. /pp• Commercial mindset with a clear focus on results and guest experience excellence. /pp• Ability to manage relationships with ownership, members, societies and external partners. /pp• Solid operational understanding of golf operations and FB as key revenue drivers. /pp• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to manage conflict and execute strategy. /pp• Fluent English required.
