ASICS Iberia is currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Barcelona.
Job Purpose
To lead the store together with the Store Manager in meeting or exceeding store sales target and to work with the SM to achieve brand standard in customer service, selling, product presentation, and merchandising.
Position in the organization
* Reports directly to: Store Manager and District Manager
* Gives leadership to: Supervisor, Sales Specialists and Sales Associates
Result Fields
Result field 1: Support SM in meeting or exceeding store sales target
* Assist in maximizing sales and profitability through effective store operations.
* Control the store during periods when SM is absent, implementing initiatives to drive sales performance.
* Understand local market trends and competition and communicate this information to line manager.
* Analyze reports and KPIs such as conversion rate, units per transaction and average transaction value to improve store performance.
Result field 2: Work with the SM to achieve brand standard in customer service and merchandising
* Support and guide staff in meeting visual merchandising, presentation and promotional activity standards.
* Ensure consistent planning and execution of product flow.
* Manage back‑of‑house operations and share cleaning duties as required.
Result field 3: Assist the SM in recruitment, training, retention and development of team members
* Supervise staff, ensuring motivation and ongoing training.
* Ensure best practice staffing levels by following rotas and schedules.
Job Requirements
Knowledge and experience
* Two years as Senior Vendor, Shop‑in‑Shop Manager or Assistant Store Manager experience, including coaching, counselling and people development.
* Experience with retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service and people management.
* Extensive experience in leading top‑level customer service in a brand retailer.
Personal Qualities and Skills
* Excellent communication (written & oral), delegation, teamwork, flexibility, proactivity, stress resistance and analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel across sales floor, stockroom and office.
* Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, openings and closings as needed.
* Ability to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
