Overview
AIMPLAS is looking to incorporate a new team member into our Biotechnology Department, within the Technologies area. This role is a permanent employee, full-time position located in Valencia.
What will your day-to-day look like?
You will take part in projects (from preparation to execution) as a researcher or as a member of a research group in the field of biotechnology, carrying out tasks such as:
* Identifying project ideas (your own or those proposed by clients).
* Preparing project proposals.
* Executing and coordinating projects.
* Drafting project reports and technical documentation.
* Providing consultancy services to clients in the field of biotechnology.
* Preparing technical reports.
* Conducting visits and meetings with clients.
* Participating in dissemination activities or national and international events.
* Taking part in training and outreach activities related to your area of expertise.
Your profile
High analytical skills, organisation, planning, initiative, creativity, leadership, flexibility, adaptation to changes, customer orientation, teamwork and vocation for people (cooperation and empathy) are elements that we look for in any position at AIMPLAS.
Required Education
* University degree (Master’s level preferred) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
Additional Training
* Master’s Degree in Polymeric Materials and Composites Technologies.
* High proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken (must be demonstrable).
Desirable Experience
* Enzyme production, preferably in an industrial or laboratory environment.
* Isolation and characterization of microorganisms with specific enzymatic capabilities.
* Fermentation processes, ideally related to the production of enzymes or other biotechnological products.
* Production of bioplastics from renewable materials, ideally through enzymatic or fermentative processes.
* Valorization of organic waste through the production of value-added products such as enzymes or bioplastics.
* Bioinformatic analysis, particularly involving genomic and proteomic data.
* Use of bioinformatics tools for the identification and characterization of hydrolytic enzymes.
