Job Summary
As a Strategy Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating key initiatives for organic and M&A growth. Your role will be to support Novanta's strategy through Market research across a wide variety of verticals and applications. You will report to the SVP of corporate development and collaborate with the M&A team and business units across the company.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Conduct market assessments to support strategic initiatives :Design and execute market research studies to gather insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive analysis.Develop research plans and methodologies to ensure accuracy and validity of data collected.Analyze research data to identify key findings and insights and present this information to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.Use statistical software and other tools to manipulate and analyze data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.Identify and assess market trends, opportunities, and threats to the organization, and provide recommendations for action based on research findings.
2. Manage research projects from start to finish, including defining research objectives, timeline, budget, and deliverables.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate development, and business unit teams to inform business decisions and strategies based on research insights and to identify potential acquisition targets, synergies, and risks.
4. Stay current with industry trends, research techniques, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve research processes and outcomes.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
5. Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, engineering or related data fields, a master’s degree is a plus.
6. Experience in consulting, M&A, and Private Equity is a plus.
7. Experience in market research, with a proven track record of designing and executing research studies and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.
8. Experience with statistical software, survey tools, and other research methodologies.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends and insights.
10. Have excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying strategy plans.
11. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate research findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
12. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Travel Requirements
13. Travel is required to global locations, including Europe, U.S., and Asia.

14. Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
15. Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials
