A Security Solution Architect designs and builds solution deal shapes, including the development of key solution plan documentation such as cost estimates, staffing plans, delivery location strategies, technical blueprints, and implementation roadmaps. Additionally, this role involves listening deeply and understanding the client context before solutioning; relentlessly focusing on client needs, iterating with the client and/or sales team to uncover and maximize value for both the client and Avanade; and bringing deep expertise in Microsoft security technologies to the solution. The architect uses storytelling and real-world examples to effectively articulate the solution vision throughout the deal lifecycle.
This role partners with the Sales Team, QA Directors, Delivery Team, and Client to translate the client value proposition and solution ideas into a viable, winnable, deliverable, and differentiated business solution.
* Proven experience defining solutions based on Microsoft Security technologies.
* Proven experience in deal shaping, customer value proposition development, solution architecture, estimation, and planning. Characteristics that can spell success for this role include:
* Experience working with global teams.
* Strong written and spoken skills in Spanish and English.
* Possession of a technical degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or Mathematics.
* Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
Design and build solution plans: understand and translate client requirements; assess relevant services, offerings, and capabilities to address client needs and deliver value; collaborate with other Solution Architects and SMEs to define the solution. Develop solution deal shapes, including cost estimates, staffing plans, delivery location strategies, technical blueprints, and implementation roadmaps.
Costing, pricing, and deal shaping: complete costing and/or pricing using standard solution architecture processes, methods, and tools to ensure quality and efficiency. Identify potential risks and partner with senior leadership to mitigate them. Ensure the contract preserves the solution architecture design.
Support profitable sales: engage early with clients, support deal origination and qualification efforts, and act as a trusted advisor. Assist the sales team in commercial shaping and negotiation of contract terms, assumptions, and dependencies. Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure an effective transition during mobilization, stabilization, and delivery phases.
