Role Overview
Responsible for developing and managing a network of distribution partners across mainland Europe and beyond, with a focus on new business acquisition and strategic account management. This includes identifying, onboarding, and enabling partners to effectively represent the company’s products in key markets. The role is crucial for expanding market reach, supporting sales growth, and aligning the distributor network with internal commercial objectives through long-term relationship management.
Responsibilities
Distribution Network Development
* Identify and target potential distribution partners across Europe in sectors like infrastructure, utilities, and construction.
* Lead onboarding for new distributors, including training and performance setup.
* Ensure partners are equipped with product knowledge, marketing support, and tools.
* Achieve growth across all product groups and meet sales targets.
* Manage a portfolio of key accounts at national depots or offices, ensuring targets are met.
* Build lasting relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach.
* Identify major projects in infrastructure, utilities, and construction across Europe for product specification.
* Manage customer activity via our call log system and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
* Participate in industry events and exhibitions for networking and business development.
* Address customer complaints promptly and professionally, coordinating with the executive team.
Business Development
* Support the Sales Director on tenders and major projects.
* Collaborate with sales teams to target appropriate customers with offers and promotions.
* Identify and attend relevant exhibitions and networking opportunities.
* Gather and share customer feedback to improve business efficiency and service.
* Monitor competitors and share insights with the team.
* Follow up on new inquiries and prospects.
* Attend scheduled sales meetings and one-on-ones.
Reports & Administration
* Complete monthly business review summaries highlighting wins, new accounts, and tenders.
* Manage administrative tasks efficiently.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in managing sales/distributor networks across Europe.
* Fluency in English and Spanish; strong working knowledge of French.
* Ability to build relationships at various business levels.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales cycles in construction/infrastructure sectors.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated with good planning and time management skills.
* Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
