We are seeking a Senior Analyst – Customs & Trade Compliance based in Madrid (hybrid role) to provide advanced support to Regional Trade and Customs operations. What you will be doing Coordinate and monitor import/export compliance with international trade, customs and government agency laws & regulations for Baxter entities in EMEA. Help develop, implement, and support Baxter’s trade and customs strategy and systems. Support interpretation and application of regulations; raise contacts for irregularities in trade and customs matters. Identify and implement duty reduction opportunities and general process improvements; develop, audit, and support international trade programs. Implement internal processes to collect proofs of origin, ensure compliance with non-preferential rules, and report origin determinations regularly. Drive standardization of import/export processes and internal control procedures, including drafting local SOPs/procedures for trade compliance and customs activities. Collaborate with local operations (Logistics, Planning & Manufacturing) to integrate Global Trade activities into overall operations. Maintain close collaboration with the Trade Compliance Team to ensure flawless execution. What you will bring Working knowledge of import/export laws and regulations, customs formalities, FDA/MOH requirements, and global applications. Strong understanding of country-of-origin determination and Harmonized System (HS) codes. Ability to perform gap analyses, identify non-compliance issues, formulate corrective action plans, present findings to management, and implement actions. Experience in a regulated, fast-paced environment, ideally in an international organization. Proficiency in English is essential; fluency in German is desirable. Ability to prioritize, manage workload, and report in a structured manner. Initiative, good communication skills, strong work ethic, and problem-solving abilities.
