Data Governance Analyst (m/f/d) – Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) is an international specialized commercial bank with over 800 employees from 45 countries. We offer our customers a wide range of financing and investment solutions for the entire real estate value chain. Our goal is to contribute to a more sustainable world of real estate. For our CIO/COO business area based in Madrid, we are currently seeking to hire, with immediate effect, a Data Governance Analyst (m/f/d).
Your tasks
* End-to-End Data Lineage: Document and enhance transparent Source-to-Report data flows using central governance tools
* Process Optimization: Identify and resolve structural gaps, inconsistencies, and manual steps within complex data chains
* Technical Data Management: Develop SQL queries and support the modeling of relational and logical data structures
* Cross-Functional Interface: Act as the key liaison between Risk, Finance, and IT to translate business requirements into data standards
* Regulatory Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., BCBS 239) and resolve data quality issues along the lineage
How to convince us
* Bachelor's or Master\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field
* 2-5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or Reporting within a regulated financial institution
* Solid understanding of banking regulations, specifically BCBS 239 (RDARR), and general data management standards like DAMA
* Proven experience in data flow modeling and analysis, ideally within governance or regulatory frameworks
* Fluent in English, German language skills are a plus
* Strong structured thinking and high precision in translating complex business requirements into technical data architectures
* Clear stakeholder management skills combined with a genuine passion for data governance and regulatory frameworks
