OTR Manager Jr is responsible for managing a Drivers team, safety metrics, attrition, payroll, shifts, vacations, overtime and AMZL OPS metrics such as delivery efficiency, number of routes, and cost per shipment. This role also supports purchasing tools, services and consumables for the station.
The impacts of this position are: operational KPIs and cost goals in the strategic plan. The overriding goal is to maximize customer satisfaction and long‑term shareholder value.
Delivery OTR Manager Jr should coach and mentor the PA team (hourly) to ensure performance objectives are met, build positive employee relations, and develop bench strength for the organization. The successful candidate will continuously improve delivery processes, instill a culture of customer obsession, safety, and best‑practice sharing, and serve as a thought partner with internal teams to launch new stations and design new delivery models.
Responsibilities
* Create a balance between “Work hard” and “Have fun” with associates under scope.
* Ensure the team executes to accomplish business goals.
* Support process improvement activities associated with inefficiencies or new functions.
* Process mapping activities.
* Assist in the development, documentation, deployment and monitoring of key business processes for AMZL Mexico.
* Follow up on KPIs of operations within the delivery station.
* Actively support and promote organizational change.
* Conduct deep analysis of KPIs.
* Support the ACES team, customer service, or other upcoming goals.
* Measure drivers’ performance, discipline and customer experience service.
* Conduct internal audits.
* Participate in quality initiatives and process change initiatives to achieve year‑on‑year improvements within the operating plan.
* Implement change and/or develop new processes to better serve Amazon customers, focusing on cost reduction.
* Implement and develop the delivery station workflow and metrics according to standard work and book of processes.
Basic Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Bachelor Degree in progress.
* 1+ years of direct management experience.
* 2+ years of general experience.
* Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts if needed.
* English basic level (A2+).
* Excel knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree completed.
* Demonstrated experience managing workload and meeting deadlines.
* 3+ years management experience in delivery, manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
* Management of a minimum of 20 employees (including payroll, performance management, workflow assignment).
* Interest in long‑term career development in logistics & transportation.
* Experience working and managing 3PL operations.
* Conversational English.
