We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer, with experience in either AWS Lambda or Python, working closely with one of our main clients in the banking sector.
The Cloud Contact Centre team is responsible for the support and transformation of the client's Amazon Connect and SCV services based on AWS and Salesforce SaaS platforms, enabling the client to handle customer interactions. Our Amazon Connect services are primarily based on Amazon Lex, Amazon Connect flows and Lambda functions (Python) that integrate with internal and 3rd party systems (e.g., Payments backend, Accounts services, Nuance Voice Biometrics) and AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, Kinesis, API Gateway).
This job posting is for developer roles that will be pivotal in Agile squads leading transformation and BAU activities. You will join an IT Digital team that works with the client. You will be a developer in the Cloud Contact Centre working with technical leads. You will work in an Agile squad as an AWS Developer handling user stories related to AWS Lambda development, as well as Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement using Python on AWS Lambda functions.
- Contribute to practical programming in Python (required) and Java, JavaScript.
- Participate in SDLC activities including software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD (continuous delivery) on AWS (e.g., CloudFormation, SAM CLI).
- Understand AWS architecture and Cloud Fundamentals; work with AWS services and integrations (DynamoDB, Kinesis, API Gateway, etc.).
- Collaborate with international teams; maintain good English (C1) and Spanish levels.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) using JIRA and Confluence; AWS certifications are a plus.
- Experience or exposure to AI training or AI-related tasks; experience in Contact Centre and IVRs is desirable.
- Contribute to the transformation and BAU activities within the Cloud Contact Centre team.
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS Lambda development and Python; practical programming experience in Python (required) and Java, JavaScript.
- Understanding of SDLC, security, cloud, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD on AWS (e.g., CloudFormation, SAM CLI).
- Knowledge of AWS overall architecture and Cloud Fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills in English (C1) and Spanish; ability to work with international teams.
- AWS certification(s) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA/Confluence.
- Experience in AI, Contact Centre, and IVRs is advantageous.
Location and Work Model
100% remote within Spain. No intensive working days on Fridays or during summer.
