Job Overview
Global Supply/ Production Planner (Alcalá) at Puig – responsible for ensuring availability of finished and semi‑finished products across network, balancing quality, cost, stock levels and service through Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Distribution Requirements Plan (DRP). Located in Alcalá de Henares with 2 days home‑office per week.
Responsibilities
* Define global inventory policies aligned with manufacturing batch policy.
* Agree inventory policies and replenishment principles with local supply planners.
* Calculate DRP for Puig stock locations, review with local planners.
* Carry out MPS (own or third parties) considering demand plan, stock policy and manufacturing/purchasing policies.
* Run Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) to adapt MPS to manufacturing and key suppliers capacity, identifying future capacity risks.
* Evaluate alternatives and establish contingency plans to guarantee availability of key references.
* Co‑lead global S&OP meeting, providing information on availability risks, capacity constraints, materials requirements and obsolescence.
* Maintain stock levels in third parties and Puig locations, in agreement with Group Policies.
* Reduce obsolete or low‑rotation stocks, analyze and propose reusability alternatives.
* Create and launch production orders on the basis of manufacturing batches and supplying policies.
* Provide weekly production plan (own or third parties), based on capacities/resources available in mid/long term.
* Execute replenishment orders to subsidiaries.
* Prepare Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) scenarios for S&OP decision‑making process.
* Maintain all needed data in supporting systems.
* Monitor stock availability of finished products across network, tracking supply issues.
* Periodically review production plan, manage capacity conflicts versus demand within established time horizons, updating plan when necessary.
* Ensure communication and feedback to Distribution Planning (DP).
* Review production resources capacity usage and critical materials availability.
* Follow up real production compared to planned production and shipments to Puig locations.
* Ensure implementation of finished product stock policies for each product type.
* Monitor stock levels and propose actions to keep them at required levels.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year in supply planning.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Economics.
* Fluent English.
* Strong knowledge in Supply Chain Management, DRP, MPS, MRP, RCCP.
