We are seeking a passionate and talented individual to join our team as a Country Procurement Buyer. This role involves ensuring the effective deployment of Category Management Strategy at the country level, collaborating with Category Managers at the Head Office and Africa Strategic Business Unit, and identifying local sourcing opportunities to enhance business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Mapping and assessing local sourcing options to inform and enrich the Category Management Strategy.
2. Ensuring the efficient implementation of Category Management Strategies by acting as the main point of contact with suppliers during execution.
3. Managing local purchases outside of Category Management scope, including scouting, tendering, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
4. Overseeing Material TCO and budgeting.
5. Managing Supplier Relationships with local suppliers, including performance monitoring through KPIs, service levels, and risk assessments.
6. Vendor homologation and master data management in ERP systems for all categories at the country level.
7. Driving efficiency projects.
Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role within a Direct Materials Procurement function. Fluency in English and French is required.
Valuable knowledge in packaging is a plus.
