We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development and definition of the electrical grid connection concept for a CO2 Capture Project in Germany.
The role will focus on technical coordination, stakeholder management, and meeting facilitation, without requiring the direct execution of engineering design or detailed engineering activities.
Scope of Services
The consultant will primarily be responsible for coordination, technical representation, and managing interactions with the German grid operator. The role does not involve performing calculations, engineering design, or detailed engineering work. Instead, the consultant will facilitate the definition and agreement of the electrical grid connection concept.
Key Responsibilities
- Support meetings with the German grid operator regarding the electrical connection of the CO2 Capture Project.
- Coordinate and oversee the technical meetings required to define and agree upon the project's electrical grid connection concept.
- Analyze, communicate, and coordinate the technical requirements established by the grid operator.
- Align project requirements and technical decisions that need to be presented during meetings.
- Identify risks, constraints, or regulatory requirements associated with the project's electrical connection.
- Prepare meeting summaries, track action items and agreements, and provide technical recommendations when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical grid connection processes.
- Knowledge of procedures, regulations, and requirements applicable to German grid operators (TSO/DSO).
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage technical decision-making processes.
- Experience in energy, industrial, decarbonization, or energy transition projects is highly desirable.
Languages
- Professional or fluent English (required).
- Professional or fluent German (required).
Working Arrangement
- Hourly-based consulting engagement.
- Estimated duration: 6 months.
- Estimated commitment: up to 10 hours per month.

- Availability to attend in-person meetings in Germany when required.
