Compliance Officer
to work in a truly global environment supporting ED&F Man's
global Coffee and Liquid Products
business units. The role reports to the
Chief Compliance Officer .You will support the day-to-day trading activities of the business, develop and advise on policies, processes, and procedures, and provide ongoing compliance training across various functions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to compliance projects and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.Business Overview
Established in 1783, ED&F Man is an employee-owned agricultural commodities merchant with 2,800 employees in 43 countries and annual revenue exceeding $8bn. We trade sugar, coffee, molasses, animal feed, and fish oils.Key Responsibilities
Implement ED&F Man's global compliance program across the business.Undertake risk assessments to identify compliance risks and mitigation strategies.Monitor compliance with internal policies and international regulations.Ensure communications comply with policies and laws.Provide compliance guidance on high-risk trading activities.Deliver compliance training covering internal policies and external laws.Support counterparty KYC activities, understanding sanctions risks.Identify and report compliance issues, working towards their resolution.Review marketing materials for legal and regulatory compliance.Assist with gathering information for the compliance function.Collaborate with Internal Audit on fraud investigations related to coffee and liquid products.Manage compliance-related SpeakUP investigations.Engage with trading and leadership teams to prioritize compliance.Provide compliance support for financial and physical trading activities.Monitor adherence to policies and regulations such as MiFID, REMIT, EMIR, MAR, and Dodd-Frank.Monitor market abuse, anti-trust, and sanctions compliance.Oversee OTC and exchange trading activities for regulatory compliance.Qualifications and Experience
Extensive trading compliance experience in a physical commodities trading house - essential.Knowledge of UK, US, EU, and other international compliance regulations applicable to commodity trading - essential.Experience providing compliance advice to traders - essential.Degree in law or economics – highly advantageous.Experience developing and monitoring compliance programs.What We Offer
