We are looking for a Financial Controller with strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in financial control and statutory accounting under Spanish regulations. This role is operational and highly responsible, ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and accurate group reporting. It is not a junior role nor limited to reporting tasks.
Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
Full ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for two Spanish entities
Preparation and review of P&L;, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements
Variance analysis against budget and forecast
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial data
Statutory & Tax Compliance
Coordinate statutory accounts under Spanish GAAP, including audits
Work with external advisors on:
Corporate Income Tax
VAT (Spanish and EU cross‑border)
Withholding taxes
Ensure full compliance with local accounting and tax regulations
Operational Finance
Cash‑flow forecasting and monitoring
Track OPEX, accruals, and provisions
Support budgeting and forecasting xhfqzwm cycles
Act as a finance business partner to local management
Banking & Payments
Prepare and execute payment orders (vendors, payroll, taxes, intercompany)
Manage online banking platforms and user permissions
Daily cash monitoring and short‑term liquidity planning
Systems & Controls
Ensure strong internal controls and audit‑ready documentation
Support ERP processes (SAP preferred)
