Key Accountabilities
1. Design, deploy, and maintain HPC.
2. Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure deployments
3. Lead the technical architecture of compute clusters, high-speed interconnects, and storage systems.
4. Work closely with R&D teams to align infrastructure with application and research requirements.
5. Define operational standards, automation strategies, and best practices.
6. Ensure platform availability, performance, and security.
7. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability.
8. Act as a technical reference for HPC and quantum computing within the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and implementation of:
9. HPC platforms: compute clusters, GPU acceleration, high-performance interconnects (InfiniBand, advanced Ethernet).
10. Scheduling and orchestration: SLURM, PBS, or similar workload managers.
11. Storage systems: parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS), object storage, and hybrid solutions.
12. Containers and reproducible environments: Singularity/Apptainer, Docker, Kubernetes for HPC workloads.
13. Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
14. Quantum computing integration: quantum simulators, SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, Braket), and cloud or hardware backends.
15. Performance tuning and resource optimization.
16. Advanced user support and incident resolution.
17. Technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
18. Collaboration with vendors, research centers, and technology partners.
Desired Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills
Strong experience in:
19. Large-scale Linux systems.
20. HPC and accelerated computing (CPU/GPU).
21. SLURM or other job schedulers.
22. High-performance networking (InfiniBand, RDMA).
23. HPC containers (Singularity/Apptainer).
24. Automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python).
25. Knowledge of:
26. Quantum computing fundamentals and hybrid workflows.
27. Quantum SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, Braket, or similar).
28. HPC–Cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
29. Experience with NVIDIA/AMD hardware and Mellanox networking is a plus.
30. Ability to translate scientific or business requirements into technical solutions.

Proven experience (3+ years) as:
32. HPC Platform Engineer
33. Scientific Computing Systems Engineer
34. DevOps / SRE in high-performance environments
35. Experience in research institutions, supercomputing centers, or advanced industrial environments is highly valued.
