Expert Manufacturing & EMEA Applications
Join Merck Group as an Expert Manufacturing & EMEA Applications professional. This role drives IT projects and support for manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems across Europe.
Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect you will:
* Deliver IT projects for business applications in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Quality domain.
* Support site‑specific applications such as quality and shop floor systems in collaboration with local end‑users and stakeholders.
* Manage external delivery staff to ensure project support and business continuity according to service level agreements.
* Define technical designs for IT solutions together with other Solution Architects.
* Document all activities in projects and service management, creating qualification documents, work instructions, change requests, and vulnerability management records.
* As Qualification Owner, oversee compliance for GxP relevant systems in Spain and other European countries, including security aspects.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
* 1–5 years of experience as a delivery manager, ideally in manufacturing, supply chain or quality systems.
* Strong customer focus, self‑motivated, and ability to learn and develop continuously.
* Team player with experience working virtually in an international organization.
* In-depth knowledge of Quality & GxP IT/OT compliance trends for manufacturing & quality (e.g., LIMS, MES, LABs, SCADA).
* Broad IT infrastructure knowledge (OS, DB, system hardening).
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, solid foundation in IT service management methodology (ITIL certification preferred).
* Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English; business‑fluent French is a strong plus.
