Responsibilities
Reporting to the Country General Manager and the Chief Education Officer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Educational Leadership
* Ensure the school’s future success by:
* Upholding the school and group’s mission and principles.
* Inspiring and motivating all members of the school community, following the school’s mission and principles.
* Ensuring the academic, personal, social, emotional, and physical welfare of all students.
* Providing relevant education pathways for all students and preparing them for the future.
* Ensuring excellent care for all students and parents, addressing their specific concerns.
* Promoting respect and appreciation for different nationalities and cultures within the school community.
* Maintaining and improving the quality of education:
* Ensuring the curriculum is appropriate, learning-focused, and clear to students, parents, and teachers.
* Gathering evidence of effective learning taking place daily.
* Collecting and analyzing data on student performance to track progress.
* Utilizing assessment processes effectively.
* Encouraging regular discussions among teaching staff regarding evidence of learning.
Management of Systems and Processes
Ensure the school’s future success through effective management by running the school in an organized and efficient way.
* Implementing optimal and effective systems across teaching, learning, HR, admin, admissions, marketing, finance, maintenance, and services.
* Ensuring all staff understand the organizational structure for efficient school operations.
* Managing the school’s budget prudently to meet financial targets and ensure continuity in strategic direction.
* Developing and implementing a strategic development plan in conjunction with the Globeducate Executive Team.
* Creating a clear performance management strategy understood by all staff.
* Providing opportunities for continuous professional development and feedback for all colleagues.
Communication with Students, Parents & the Wider Community
Ensure involvement of students, parents, and the wider community in education and initiatives offered.
* Celebrating excellence in learning across all student abilities.
* Providing effective parent education and networking opportunities.
* Building relationships with students through assemblies, meetings, newsletters, and alumni events.
* Engaging with parents and the community through meetings, seminars, performances, and social events.
* Utilizing various media for effective communication.
* Marketing and communicating the school’s initiatives effectively.
* Organizing admissions processes for new students, including Early Years cohorts.
* Ensuring staff understand their role in marketing the school’s reputation.
* Providing excellent care for prospective parents and students, addressing their concerns.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes
* A recognized teaching qualification for the school that applies.
* A proven track record in senior educational leadership and strategic planning.
* Awareness of educational developments and world-class learning standards.
* Native / Proficient level of English and local language (desirable).
* Strong leadership and team-building skills.
* Organizational skills.
* A problem-solver and innovator.
* Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships.
* Honest, transparent, and caring demeanor.
* Qualification in school leadership (desirable).
* Master's degree in educational management (desirable).
