We are looking for a TAX ANALYST with fluent verbal and written skills in English, who will be responsible for the monthly multi-state idisrect tax compliance (for USA and Canada).
Location: Cantoria, Almería
Working hours will be from 2 PM to 10 PM, with 2 days of remote work per week.
What you will do:
* Review monthly multi-state sales tax filings by external provider for accuracy and prepare monthly tax postings.
* Maintain the indirect tax and property tax compliance calendar.
* Assist with the reconciliation of the general ledger accounts for indirect tax, and property tax.
* Responsible for the updates to the multi-state resale certificates from customers on the tax engine platform (OneSource).
* Responsible for resolving and responding to internal tax inquiries received via the tax department email.
* Support Tax Manager with month-end closing activities related to indirect tax.
* Conduct state and local tax regulatory law research as needed.
* Educate internal employees on best sales tax practices.
* Assist with requirements and notices from the tax government agencies.
* Assist the Tax Manager with reconciliation, budget, posting and any tax-related projects as needed.
* Assist in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing processes for necessary control and efficiency.
What you need to succeed
* EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of accounting, tax related, public accounting, or industry experience.
* LANGUAGES: Fluent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish are required.
* IT knowledge: Proficient in Excel a plus, SAP experience and experience with sales tax software a plus.
* SOFTSKLS: Must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Should possess problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Strong desire to learn, adapt and grow in a dynamic environment.
