Durango School District 9R is recruiting licensed substitute teachers for the school year to work with our amazing students and staff!
We pay $185 per day for a full day assignment.
35 consecutive days of substituting pay $195 per day.
Long-term substitute assignments pay $265 per day.
This position requires a Colorado 3- or 5-year substitute license, a Colorado teaching license, OR a 1-year Colorado substitute license along with at least one year of postsecondary education.

We are recruiting substitutes who can work a flexible schedule at multiple locations and in various positions.
Requirements include:
* Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license OR
* A 1-year Colorado substitute authorization with at least one year of postsecondary education completed.
* Apply through the Colorado Department of Education at http://coeducation.gov.
* Experience working with children; classroom experience preferred.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, basic language, math, and writing skills.
* Minimum of two professional or academic references. Note: We do not accept family or friends as references.
Candidates must also have strong computer skills. Substitutes are required to navigate electronic systems independently to accept and decline assignments, maintain schedules, view teachers' notes, and communicate with staff.
