Scopely is looking for a VP of Marketing to join the Stumble Guys team in Barcelona.The VP of Marketing will drive the establishment of a global gaming brand for the Stumble Guys Franchise. This role will be strategic for the Franchise as a whole, impacting the future of Stumble Guys for years to come.The right individual for this role is a masterful marketer, advertiser, and brand developer — with exceptional knowledge of Free-to-Play games and the gaming industry. The mission of the VP of Marketing is to be a leader in building a global gaming brand through innovative and compelling advertising, marketing, promotions, product partnerships, and brand development. The VP of Marketing also uses data analytics for decision-making, is a skilled team leader and team player, and does not shy away from the operational side of things. Reporting and partnering with the SVP & GM of the Franchise, this person will drive the global consumer brand and product marketing initiatives for the worldwide phenomenon that is Stumble Guys. This is a crucial role for the Franchise, and it serves as a business partner for the rest of the units. What you will do:
1. Define Marketing Strategy for the Franchise: Defining the Strategy behind all Marketing efforts, in order to support the Franchise. The VP of Marketing will also communicate this vision effectively not only to their Marketing team but also across the Franchise, ensuring all efforts are aligned with the rest of the organization and supporting the main vision of the Franchise at all times.
2. Evolve the Global Brand Strategy: Develop an iconic brand and define a global brand strategy: with a deep understanding of the audience and what motivates them (GenZ), this role is responsible for establishing the brand that represents the Franchise across multi-platforms.
3. Free-to-Play Game Marketer: Develop a strategic relationship with the Product team to support the roadmap and the rollout of new in-game events, features, and content that can drive consumer acquisition, content and community virality, and reach new audiences as well as re-engage lapsed players.
4. Drive Tentpole Campaigns: driving integrated global tentpole campaigns that can excite and engage millions of consumers around the world, from GenZ to older generations. Identifying and driving regional and even local campaigns that can have pivotal results.
5. Innovation & Creative Vision: work closely with creative teams and agencies to develop exciting marketing and promotional content for upcoming launches and tentpoles. Able to generate impactful campaigns and continuously innovate with creative ideas that become iconic and a referent in the industry.
6. Master Advertiser and Storyteller: Drive our performance marketing creative strategy in partnership with UA and internal agency to achieve world class KPIs: from creative ideation with stakeholders to performance analysis in UA, this role will unlock the power of paid advertising for the Franchise.
7. Global Strategic Partnerships: this role will identify and build key relationships with IPs and platforms, as well as with other co-promotion partners to drive maximum engagement and value for tentpole
8. Operational Execution: this role will play a key role in supporting the Finance team with yearly budgets, and ensuring accuracy and smart-spending.
9. Motivational Leadership: inspires and motivates the Marketing team as well as other teams in the Franchise, with an attitude of service to those in the Team and great sense of urgency and ownership towards building a Franchise
What we’re looking for:
10. 10 + years of consumer marketing experience
11. 7+ years marketing experience in mobile or social Free to Play gaming
12. Experience working with a Mass Market Global gaming or entertainment brand targeting M/W 16+
13. Experience in developing/driving impactful creative campaigns, with exceptional creative and aesthetic judgment
14. Experience in digital advertising and marketing targeting mass market gamers or entertainment fans
15. Experience building audience/growth teams and budgets; scaling the business in a strategic way and using the various flywheel levers we have in place to further impact our most important KPI’s
16. Experience working with Content Creators and examples of strategic initiatives in this field
17. Excellent leadership & communication skills — able to inspire and motivate teams, generating trust across their team and all teams in the organization
18. A team players, collaborative, “we” attitude and as a member of the Franchise’s leadership team, will also be co-creating and contributing towards the establishment and growth of our Console business and supporting the Consumer Products business
19. Executive presence yet hungry and humble, will be key in being hyper-focused on helping us further develop the team we have in place.
